A LIMERICK medical supplies company has made a significant donation to aid ongoing war efforts in Ukraine.
Fleming Medical, based on the Dock Road in Limerick City, have donated a vast array of medical supplies, including 600 emergency delivery sets, first aid supplies and cauterisation sets, heat therapy packs, and ice packs valued at over €43,000.
Fleming Medical partnered with charity WALK, who have been working with a Ukrainian disability charity to support people with disabilities, as well as their families, since the war broke out.
Fleming Medical were founded 35 years ago and design, produce, and deliver diagnostic, first aid, and wound care products under the Medicare and Physiologix brands.
Pat Geoghegan, Stock Control Supervisor with Fleming Medical, said that their position in the medical supplies industry put them in a perfect place to be able to help.
“We find ourselves in a unique and privileged position to be able to donate vital humanitarian aid to those most in need through our social responsibility programme,” he said.
“This is something we take very seriously and have been doing this for many years both domestically and internationally through various charities,” he concluded.
Fleming Medical operate in more than 20 countries worldwide and are a partner for Irish and international pharmacy, community health, and hospital healthcare professionals.
