THE LOCATION of the Limerick store that sold the winning €1million Daily Millions ticket last week has been revealed by the National Lottery.

Ryan’s Supervalu in Kilmallock sold the winning ticket for Friday’s (June 30) Daily Millions draw that saw one lucky customer scoop the top prize of €1million.

Celebrations took place at the store on Sarsfield Street in the town when the news was announced.

Store Manager Gareth Davies was delighted to hear that one of his customers had a life-changing start to their weekend.

He said: “What a way to spend a Friday night – becoming a millionaire. All of the staff here will be so excited to hear the news as soon as word gets out.”

“We’re a busy shop in town with about 60 of us working here so it’s a great boost for us all. We have lots of regular locals who come into us too so I’m sure they’ll be delighted to hear we sold a winner as it’s positive news for the community.”

The National Lottery has confirmed that the latest National Lottery millionaire has made contact and arrangements are now being made for them to claim their prize.

Meanwhile, a woman from neighbouring County Tipperary visited Lotto HQ this week to pick up her prize from the Euromillions Plus Draw last month.

The woman, who wasn’t named, collected her €500,000 cheque in Dublin after having the winning ticket in the Euromillions Plus draw on Friday, June 23.

This ticket was purchased in the Lidl store in Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

The winner from the Premier County was still in shock while sitting in the Winners Room: “I’ve definitely been in a state of disbelief ever since the win. I checked the ticket the night of the draw and probably didn’t get a lot of sleep afterwards.”

“It really comes to show that dreams actually can come true. This truly will bring a great sense of comfort and relief for the rest of our lives as we were planning and hoping to buy property so this will be a huge help to make that happen, even sooner than expected,” she concluded.
