TWO people have been arrested and charged as part of an ongoing Garda investigation into a violent incident that occurred in Limerick City this past Tuesday.
In a statement issued by An Garda Síochána to the Limerick Post, a Garda spokesman confirmed that a woman in her 30s and man in his 20s have been arrested and charged as part of a public order/violent disorder incident that occurred in the Arthur’s Quay/Patrick Street area of Limerick City on Tuesday June 20.
The spokesman explained that both were expected to appear before Limerick District Court this morning (Thursday).
Investigations into the violent incident are ongoing and Gardaí are continuing their appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
