MOTORCYCLE enthusiasts from seasoned bikers to weekend riders will be revving their engines for a new exhibition at the People’s Museum of Limerick.
Featuring hundreds of photos, dozens of trophies, and a number of vintage motorcycles, the Limerick District Motor Cycle Club has opened an exhibition telling the storied history of the club at the People’s Museum.
The exhibition will run for two weeks and explore the more than 100-year history of the Limerick District Motor Cycle Club. Many of the items on show at the exhibition were contributed by members who have been with the club across the past five decades.
Welcoming the club and its new exhibt to the People’s Museum, chairman of the Limerick Civic Trust, Donal Creaton, said “not only is there a history of success, but there is a history of camaraderie” at the club.
“We have trophies on display here which allow us to see the wins and victories of members past and present, while there is a wealth of photos for people to have a look at family, friends, neighbours, and work colleagues. There really is something for everyone at the exhibition.”
The exhibition is open to the public for free across the next two weeks from 10am to 4pm between Tuesdays and Saturdays, and from 12pm to 4pm on Sundays.
