A FREE event dedicated to educating women about menopause and perimenopause will take place in Limerick this week.
The National Menopause Café series will be held in the Bon Secours Hospital Limerick at Barrington’s this Friday (May 26).
Dr Mary Ryan, Lorraine Keane and Nutritionist Sarah Brereton will share their knowledge and experiences of menopause and perimenopause to break the taboo that exists around the topic.
Lorraine Keane was the first public figure in Ireland to share her personal perimenopause story in 2016 and has continued her crusade to break the menopause taboo for the last eight years sharing her story in media and with Dr Ryan on a series of nationwide ‘Let’s Talk Hormone Health’ talks.
Dr Ryan says that menopause education should be accessible to all and balanced in its advice, covering nutrition, lifestyle, exercise, supplement, pain management, and HRT options.
The Menopause Café takes place in Barrington’s on Friday May 26 at 10.30am.
