Treaty run ends as Desmond Cup Final beckons

Last night's defeat was an unwelcome 44th birthday present for Treaty United manager Tommy Barrett.

LEADERS Galway United denied Treaty United a fifth First Division League win on the trot with a clear-cut 3-0 win at the Markets Field last night.

The goals flowed from David Hurley, Francely Lomboto and Ibrahim Keita.

It was an unwelcome 44th birthday present for Treaty manager Tommy Barrett whose side are at home to Finn Harps next Friday.

Meanwhile, a novel Desmond Cup Final involving Dromore United and Glin Rovers is pencilled-in for Mike Hanley Park, Clounreask (Askeaton) this Saturday, kick-off 7pm.

Glin, who are seeking a third Cup success, will likely start as favourites against an area who contested the 2018 final as Kildimo United.
