‘Pop-up’ meetings to tackle rural crime in Limerick

RURAL crime has become an increasing problem, with motorways connecting cities and larger towns making it easier for criminals to get in and out of targets in the countryside untraced.

An Garda Síochána, in conjunction with other agency stakeholders of the National Rural Safety Forum, will be holding pop up information stands in areas around the Limerick County Community Engagement area.

Themes will focus on areas including, but not limited to, crime prevention, road safety, and farm and rural safety.

The meetings are an ideal opportunity to meet local Garda members to discuss local issues and to get best advice on keeping property and people safe. 

In conjunction with Limerick City and County Council, a Property Marker Device will be available at the following locations and dates to mark valuable items such as bikes, trailers, and tools:
