The International Rugby Experience, now open on Limerick’s O’Connell Street, welcomed VIP visitor Leo Varadkar on Monday. The Taoiseach was given a tour of the “Home of Legends” by Chairman Paul O’Connell and Board Member Keith Wood during which he got to test his handling skills, hear some inspirational rugby stories and take in the views of Limerick city centre from the 6th floor “Legends Gallery”.
Posting later on social media, Mr Vardakar said “Great to visit the International Rugby Experience in Limerick today….really interactive highlighting all that is great about rugby. It will be a real boost for tourism in the city”.Visitors to the Experience move through six, awe-inspiring stages that follow the game from a community, grass roots level up to the players, clubs and nations that have reached legendary status.
Rooted in World Rugby’s values of Passion, Discipline, Integrity, Solidarity and Respect, they will discover the real people behind the game, as well as how it has impacted politics, transformed communities and improved lives. Fun, interactive trials and exciting immersive theatre spaces make it the perfect destination for all ages.
The International Rugby Experience is now open 7 days a week and tickets can be booked via www.internationalrugbyexperience.com
