A QUICK-thinking neighbour saved the day when a home in the Adare area was broken into last week.
The rear window of the County Limerick home was forced in and a quantity of jewellery was stolen, according to Crime Prevention Officer at Henry Street Garda Station, Sergeant Ber Leetch.
Fortunately, the Garda investigations were aided by a neighbour who had taken photographs of a car that had earlier aroused their suspicions.
Sgt Leetch said the neighbour’s photography was of great assistance to the investigation, but warned the public never to place themselves in harm’s way.
“If you see unusual activity, be a good neighbour, note as many identifying details as possible and ring your local Gardaí,” she advised.
