GARDAÍ are investigating the circumstances that led to a car being flipped onto its roof in Limerick City last night.
The accident happened at around 9.20pm near the entrance to St. John’s Hospital on New Road.
Gardaí, paramedics from the National Ambulance Service and members of the Limerick Fire and Rescue Service were present at the scene.
In a statement to the Limerick Post, Gardaí said that an elderly man had been removed from the car and was taken to University Hospital Limerick.
“Gardaí attended the scene of a single vehicle road traffic collision on Johns Street, Limerick yesterday evening Tuesday, May 16.”
“One elderly male occupant of the car was removed to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Investigations ongoing.”
