Gardaí investigating Hyde Road firearm discharge

GARDAÍ are investigating the discharge of a firearm at a home on Hyde Road in Limerick City in the late hours of Monday night (May 15).

According to a statement issued by Gardaí, the shooting incident occurred at “approximately 11.30pm on Monday night in the Hyde Road area”.

While investigations are ongoing, and Gardaí had sealed off the area for examination, there have so far been no arrests.

Gardaí have appealed for any witnesses to the firearm discharge, or anyone who may have any helpful information, to make themselves known.

“Investigating Gardaí at Roxboro Road Crime Office are seeking to speak with any witnesses who were in the vicinity of Hyde Road, Colbert Station, Parnell Street, and other surrounding areas between 11:00pm and 11:45pm on Monday the 15th of May 2023,” a Garda spokesman said.
