Limerick council to consider installing shelter at busy bus stop

LIMERICK City and Council Council has been asked to consider installing a bus shelter below the Objekt Design Space store on the N21 in Newcastle West.

The call came from local Fine Gael councillor Tom Ruddle who said that people were getting wet in rainy weather while waiting for the bus.

“This is a very busy bus stop, so an application for funding should be a priority for the council,” Cllr Ruddle added.

He was informed by Active Travel Executive Engineer John O’Callaghan that the local authority will assess the feasibility of providing a bus shelter near the store and discuss it with the National Transport Authority (NTA).
