RATHKEALE Boxing Club was recognised as the best club in Munster over the weekend when the award was presented club chairman Joe Williams by provincial president Ted Barry in Dungarvan.
It came at the conclusion of a very successful provincial championships for the club, with titles secured by three girls,Philomena Connors, Elena McDonagh and Michaela Kennedy, and nine boys (Charlie Reidy, Paddy McDonagh, John Mongans, Martin McDonagh, Martin Mongans, Michael Mongans, Mikey Harty, Marty Mongans and Danny Mulcaire).
All advance, along with title holder Rory Geoghegan, to the National Finals in Dublin over the Bank Holiday Easter Weekend.
