
A LIMERICK City takeaway restaurant has been named the Best in Ireland at the annual JustEat Awards.
Sambros on Thomas Street took home the top prize after the public voted in droves to name it the Best in Ireland.
The popular restaurant was also given the title of Best in Munster at the recent awards ceremony in Dublin’s Mansion House.
The restaurant serves burgers and sandwiches, as well as the ever-popular dinner boxes.

- Cavity Walls: Up to โฌ1,700 Grant
- Internal Dry Lining: Up to โฌ4,500 Grant
According to JustEat, popular dishes from Sambros include their mega meal deal, the bacon chilli cheese fries, and the Korean Gangsta dressed chips.
The awards take place each year as a celebration of excellence in the takeaway sector and are open to the public to vote for the chance to see their favourite local fast-food outlet included among the best in the country.
Restaurants can register to take part in the awards with the chance to win JustEat vouchers to give to their customers, free promotion on the JustEat app and website, as well as an award to display in their premises.
