Limerick name team for league trip to Cork 

Ray Dempsey has resigned as Limerick football manager.

THERE were some mild surprises in the Limerick team announced by manager Ray Dempsey last night for Sunday’s National Football League Division Two away to Cork on Sunday (3.45pm).

Limerick: Donal O’Sullivan (Monaleen); David Connolly (Adare), Seán O’Dea (Kilteely/Dromkeen), Brian Fanning (Pallasgreen); Iain Corbett (Newcastle West), Cillian Fahy (Dromcollogher/Broadford), Tony McCarthy (Kildimo/Pallaskenry); Colm McSweeney (Gerald Griffins), Cathal Downes (Kildimo/Pallaskenry); Cian Sheehan (Newcastle West), James Naughton (St. Senan’s), Paul Maher (Adare); Gordon Brown (Na Piarsaigh), Brian Donovan (Monaleen), Hugh Bourke (Adare). 

O’Sullivan and Corbett hold joint captaincy of Limerick, who chase their first points of the campaign.

Brendan Griffin of Kerry will referee.
