Judge Carol Anne Coolican

GARDAÍ are seeking a Limerick man who failed to turn up in court this week to face charges associated with the ramming of a patrol car in which a Garda was injured.

The Garda injured in the ramming incident on October 27 last is still not fit to return to work four months later as a result of his injuries.

Roger Ryan (40) of Fairhill, Rathkeale was due to appear before the District Court in Kilmallock on charges arising from the ramming, which happened at Fairhill in Rathkeale.

When his name was called on Friday morning, Judge Carol Ann Coolican was told there was no appearance for Mr Ryan.

He was due to appear to hear what the Director of Public Prosecution’s decision is about prosecuting the case.
