Man dies after fall from shed roof in County Limerick

A MAN in his fifties died after falling from the roof of a shed on a farm in County Limerick this (Tuesday) afternoon.
It is understood that the man died at the scene near the village of Bruree and hisย ย body was removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Limerick where a post mortem will be carried out by a local pathologist.
The Limerick Coroner’s office will be contacted to arrange for an inquest.
Gardaรญ do not suspect foul play and are treating the manโ€™s death as a tragic accident.
According to local sources, the man was repairing the roof of the shed when he fell about 30 feet. Locals desperately attempted to save his life with a defibrillator but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Garda spokesman said ย thatย the Health and Safety Authority had been notified of the man’s death
