ALLENS of Kilkenny was established in 1948 by Mary and Patrick Allen.
The family, now in their third generation, have opened stories all over Ireland, branching out into Carlow in 1980, followed by Athlone in 2004, before opening doors in Limerick in 2011 and again in 2016.
Limerick second Allen’s store concentrates mainly on bedding, lighting, and interiors – though it’s never far away from the Allen’s gift store just down the street.
Allens enjoy the challenge of maintaining and growing an excellent choice of quality gifts and kitchen products, along with endeavouring to find exciting and unusual items for their home and gift departments.
They have found that concentrating on the widest possible choice is key to satisfying their customer’s needs, from fine China to casual dining, or crystal to glassware.
Over the good and difficult times, Allens have maintained a keen pricing structure and have gifts and homeware to suit all tastes and budgets.
