#BREAKING – Man arrested over corruption allegations at Limerick public body

GARDAÍ arrested a man this morning as part of an investigation into alleged corrupt practices at a public body in Munster.

A reliable source has told the Limerick Post that the arrest relates to a Garda probe into a public body in Limerick. The man was brought to a Garda station in the West for questioning.

“Detectives attached to the Anti-Bribery and Corruption Unit, Garda National Economic Crime Bureau have arrested a male, in his 60s, as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged corrupt practices at a public body in Munster,” said a Garda spokesman.

“The male is currently detained at a Garda Station in the West of the Country under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007. An Garda Síochána has no further comment at this time,” he added.
