Funeral arrangements have been announced for Newcastle West mother of two Helen Moynihan, who died following a car accident on Monday October 31.
The County limerick woman (32) lost her life in a two-car collision outside of Rathkeale, in an area known as The Pike, on Monday last as she was returning home with her partner, Seanie, and two children, Jack and Ayla, who were injured in the crash.
Following the incident, she was taken to University Hospital Limerick where she was pronounced dead a short time after admission.
Ms Moynihan, who worked as an office administrator, was returning from a Halloween event at a cinema in Limerick City to go trick-or-treating with her children in the area around her family home.
She will repose at Reidy’s Funeral Home, Newcastle West, on Wednesday November 9 between 5pm and 8pm before arrival at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Newcastle West, on Thursday morning for funeral mass at 11.30am.
The mass will be live streamed on a link to be announced. A private cremation will be held afterwards at Shannon Crematorium.
The family have expressed wishes that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made on Ms Moynihan’s behalf to Féileacáin, a charitable group formed to support families affected by the death of a baby around the time of birth.
Helen is survived by her partner Seanie King, children Jack and Ayla, parents John and Teresa, brother Alan, and her extended family. She is predeceased by son Ryan.
