LIMERICK City and County Council is marking October as National Reuse Month by organised a free one day sustainable gardening course for local enthusiasts.
The course will cover everything from gardening chemical free, pollinator planting, vegetable growing, mini pond building, pruning, cuttings as well as tips on reuse.
Sponsored by the council, the course will be delivered by horticulturist and environmentalist Aoife Munn in The Hunt Museum and Community Garden next Saturday October 22 from 10.30am to 4pm.
A full set of notes will be sent to all participants after the course.
Council Environment Awareness Officer Sinead Mc Donnell said that the course is in line with the 17 UN Sustainability Goals and will be of benefit to Limerick’s Tidy Towns network, Green Schools and interested individuals.”
