€680,280 has been allocated to 33 Community Centres in Limerick from a new capital fund to improve and refurbish community centres in urban and rural areas.
Speaking after Rural and Community Development Minister Heather Humphreys announced the recipients of the first phase of the Community Centres Investment Fund, Limerick Minister of State Patrick O’Donovan said that he had been working closely with Minister Humphreys to ensure Limerick received maximum funding.
“The fund, which was launched by Minister Humphreys last April, is to support community groups with the upgrade and development of their Community Centre facilities.
“Community centres are valued shared spaces and are very much at the heart of Limerick towns and villages. I hope this funding assists in making them even better in the provision of services to people all across Limerick”
