LIMERICK’S Caoimhe Costello has been shortlisted for a Camogie All-Star Award.
The Adare woman was Limerick’s sole nomination in the 36-player shortlist. She has been recognised at right half-forward where her challengers for the number ten shirt are Waterford’s Abby Flynn and Kilkenny All-Ireland winning pair Julianne Malone and Denise Gaule.
The Cats have bagged 11 nominations.
Rose Collins and Niamh Mulcahy, both of famed Ahane, are Limerick’s only ever All-Stars.
John Lillis’ Limerick enjoyed a good run in the championship, with their six-game stretch only coming to an end with defeat to Waterford in the All-Ireland quarter-final at Semple Stadium, Thurles.
During the campaign, Costello averaged nine points a match.
Croke Park will host the awards ceremony at the end of November.
