LIMERICK artist JaYne (Fraser) follows up on a her summertime soulful single ‘Sucker’ with a dreamy-bossa-banger titled ‘Escape’.
The new song hits the airwaves this weekend to coincide with JaYne’s performance at Electric Picnic’s Global Green Stage at 5pm on Sunday.
Escape is JaYne’s modern spin on the classic bossa-nova jazz groove.
She combines subtle beats and synths with a full band sound thanks to Danny Lanham (guitars and bass), Ben Wanders (drums) and Conor Broderick (keys).
JaYne comments, ““This song is somewhat embellished but I am definitely a bit of a dreamer and often imagine my life elsewhere. I think many of us go through phases of wanting to “get away” but ultimately no matter where you are, you will always have to meet yourself”
Since moving back to Ireland JaYne has been busy writing and recording from her little studio space on Dry Lane in which there is a thriving creative community of artists and musicians. She recently featured on the title track of Willzee’s new album ‘Kuti Gris’ with Strange Boy and Hazey Haze.
