Unlike most people, Limerick’s Lisa Daly loved the lockdown period. That’s because, in 2021, the crafty Lisa made her dream of creating her own business come true when she put together her first memory journal.
Lisa had the bright idea of developing her keepsake collection after the birth of her first child in 2011.
She started working on her first journal a long time ago but finally was able to launch her own start-up, This Is You, over lockdown.
Her selection of products was created to record special memories to share with loved ones, or to keep safe as treasured moments for the future.
“Since my first was born, I always had a little notebook in the drawer to keep track of funny things he said, milestones, or anything like that. I continued to do that with my other kids,” the mum of five told the Limerick Post.
The budding Treaty city entrepreneur saw her audience grow after receiving an “overwhelming response” on social media.
In the wake of her success, Lisa added more products to her keepsake collection. Her range now includes journals, wedding guest books, card collections, passport holders, as well as more stationary items.
“I think the bestseller will always be the lifetime journal. I think it’s my favourite too”, she said.
