SPORTS clubs and organisations in Limerick City and County are being encouraged to apply for a share of the €2 million ‘Sport for All’ fund to provide specific activities and supports for people with a disability.
The application process has opened for the fund which is being administered by Sport Ireland and is open to clubs affiliated to recognised National Governing Bodies.
The fund will support the initiation or enhancement of disability specific activities within grassroots sports clubs. Clubs should apply directly to their National Governing Bodies who will, in turn, submit a consolidated application on behalf of its club network to Sport Ireland.
Clubs can apply for funding of between €1,000 and €5,000 for Disability Supports in the areas of education and training; programme activation and delivery as well as small scale equipment and infrastructure.
Closing date for applications from National Governing Bodies is Monday, September 1, so individual applications should be made well before that date.
