PLANNING permission has been granted for the conversion of a former County Limerick convent to provide apartments.
The Presentation Sisters have been given permission by Limerick City and County Council to convert their convent at Castlefarm, Hospital.
The development includes eight apartments: seven of which are one-bed two person apartments, and the eighth of which is a two-bed, three person apartment.
The project includes refurbishments to the structure, including the refurbishment of timber sliding sash windows and the replacement of PVC windows with timber sliding sash windows.
A single storey detached shed is to be demolished and the work will also include the construction of a new lift and internal stairs.
