The Newcastle West man was Limerick’s top scorer in Killarney on Saturday.
Limerick’s swashbuckling wing-back Cian Sheehan has been named on the GAA.ie Football Team of the Week after his performance in Saturday’s Munster final.
Sheehan battled to the end and was Limerick’s top scorer on the day with 0-3 from play with each coming in the second half as Kerry turned the screw.
With Kerry dominant throughout, the Newcastle West man battled to the bitter end in the 1-28 to 0-8 defeat.
Sheehan, who was arguably Limerick’s player of the league, kicked scores off either foot while remaining diligent in defence.
For Sheehan and co, attention will quickly shift to the All-Ireland qualifiers in less than a fortnight’s time.
A pair of Kerry men are included in the team in the form of RTÉ man of the match Killian Spillane and Tom O’Sullivan with the pair combining for 1-6 on the day.
There are three each from provincial champions Galway, Dublin and Derry while Roscommon provide a pair. Donegal have one chosen.
