Plenty on offer as the Hunt Museum goes into a Liminal State

THE Hunt Museum is hosting a variety of talks and workshops to coincide with its current exhibition ‘In A Liminal State’. 

Running until July 3, ‘In a Liminal State ‘is a retrospective exhibition displaying the work of painter and master printer Stephen Lawlor.

As well as the exhibition, the Hunt Museum has organised two separate events.

On Wednesday June 1, the museum will host “Other Worlds”, a lunchtime discussion between Stephen Lawlor and art critic John P. O’Sullivan about the events and influences that created the body of work featured In A Liminal State.

During the talk, a short film by Eavan Aiken entitled ‘Trespassers on the Beyond’ will be screened.

On Thursday June2 , Stephen Lawlor returns to Limerick and will deliver a print demonstration and talk at Limerick Printmakers.

Several prints and paintings by Stephen Lawlor are on sale at the Hunt Museum during the run of show ranging from €160 to €9,000.

Following the official launch by John Banville at the museum, the GandonPublication “Profile 29: Stephen Lawlor” is also on sale for €25.00.

A limited-edition copy in a slipcase of black linen can also be purchased with a small etching at €150.00.
