THE Irish Chamber Orchestra are celebrating Mozart with Hungarian Cellist István Várdai and actor Stephen Brennan visiting two cathedrals and a wonderful theatre – St. Mary’s Cathedral, Limerick, Christ Church Cathedral, Waterford, and Tinteán Theatre, Ballybunion on the 26, 27 and 28 May.
Mozart was a giant among giants both in his day and in ours. In this colourful production, ICO provides a music narrative into the life of Mozart through some of his amazing letters. You get an intimate picture of the composer, his words, who he is, and you hear what he composed around the time he wrote the letters. You will sense his joy, sometimes disappointment, or his frustration, while you marvel at his music-making.
Renowned actor Stephen Brennan summons up the spirit and personality of Mozart as Irish Chamber Orchestra, directed by István Várdai ignite Travelling with Mozart with his music and music that inspired him. Feast on popular works by Mozart, Kraft, and Boccherini, in this compendium of music and word in Limerick, Waterford and Ballybunion on the 26,27 and 28 May.
