LIMERICK is set to become the location for Ireland’s first branch of Tim Hortons, the Canadian multinational fast food restaurant chain.
Planning permission has been secured from Limerick City and County Council for the development of an outlet at the Limerick One Shopping Park on Childers Road. The company has 57 cafes either open or in development across the UK, including in Northern Ireland.
The planning application, which included modifications to an existing KFC restaurant on the site, was submitted last October and conditionally approved by the council planning department in March.
A spokesperson for Tim Hortons said they were unable to comment about its intentions for the site in Limerick.
