SPECULATION is rife that ecommerce giants Amazon may be the new occupants of a property to be constructed by the Shannon Group.
Permission has been granted to the Group for an air cargo hub/logistics facility on a 1.718 hectare greenfield site at Rineanna South.
The Shannon Group has been in talks with Amazon but as yet there is no indication that the new building will be occupied by the company.
The new property will back on to the airport runway and will be developed by the Shannon Commercial Properties arm of the Shannon Group.
