MAYOR Daniel Butler is wishing the thousands of people who have volunteered for this year’s Team Limerick Clean-Up on Good Friday the best of luck in their efforts.
More than 21,000 volunteers have signed up for this year’s event which will be launched by event ambassador Paul O’Connell and sponsor JP McManus at the International Rugby Experience building on O’Connell Street.
“You are the heartbeat of your communities and your communities are only going to get stronger as a result,” Mayor Butler said.
“It is a credit to you all as you are willing to give up your Good Friday morning to clean up your areas. You are showing true Limerick spirit.
“Thanks once again to the JP McManus Benevolent Fund, Paul O’Connell and Limerick City and County Council for funding and co-ordinating this great initiative.”
