On April 1 Innopharma Education organised a virtual cycle to Ukraine (all 2500 km’s) over a 24 hour period raising funds for the Irish Red Cross in Ukraine at the Castletoy Park Hotel
MARY Jo Parker of Innopharma Education and her team want to acknowledge and thank the following who made our fundraiser Cycle to Ukraine a great success on Friday April 1.
The 2500 km’s were being covered from our campus in Dublin and from the Business Centre in Castletroy Park Hotel in Limerick – 2,249.57 km’s between both and raised €10,000.
We started @ 7am and finished at 7pm during which 76 people cycled. These cyclists included staff, ex staff, current students, ex-students, friends, family and a special mention to Mike McNamara of the Castletroy Park Hotel who after completing a night shift cycled 62 KM’s before he left.
The following all provided sponsorship for the event Cyril Laffan and Fiona O’Shea from Castletroy Park Hotel who provided us with their fantastic Business Centre, Auburn Lodge Hotel who donated the bikes, Eugene Drennan of Spa Logistics in Ennis who transported the bikes for us, Jack Jordans from Doughiska in Galway who provided refreshments for the event.
Tommy Redmond of Redmond Mortgages and Investments, John Sadlier from Sadlier Fish Shop, John Fitzgerald and Liam McDonald from Harmonics Career Crafting, Ger Sheehan from SSE. I also want to thank Thomas Conway who had donated his time for the entire day before he was struck down with Covid at the eleventh hour and Siobhan Gleeson-Hayes who came to help with photography after work. Finally, my own team who gave tirelessly of their time in the lead up and during the event itself.
