The Munster squad reunited with all the internationals and u20’s returning from their duties and getting back to focus on Munster.

Munster are currently sitting in third place in the United Rugby Championship and third in pool B of the Champions Cup.

With their entire squad back and able to play they should hold high expectations for the future of this season with Leinster up next.

Ahead of that clash, Johann van Graan discussed the reintegration of players as the business end of the season kicks in.

“Yeah it was a real feel good Monday, obviously we felt that we delivered a good performance on Friday evening. The 20’s lads were back after their grand slam, the national guys were back after their triple crown. It’s the first time that we’ve been together as a squad since the 23rf of January so great buzz around the place. “

The South African coach is excited to have his internationals back for good:

“It’s always great to have them back, no issue it’s been the same for the last five years whether it’s the Autumn internationals or it’s both six nations now if I take you back to 2018 they came back and we played a quarter final against Toulon, last season you know Ireland played England and we played thte final the next weekend versus Leinster in Dublin so it’s the exact same.”

Van Graan is hopeful of a full Munster support group out for the game:

” Rugby is not the same without the support and we love playing in Thomond Park and it’s always special occasions not only for Munster but for Irish Rugby when there’s inter-pros so looking forward to that and you know just happened to be Leinster before we play the European games.

“It’s week 41 in our season and we’ve worked 40 weeks to put ourselves in this position, not only in the URC which is shaping up to have a great finale in terms of the teams, in terms of who’s fighting for potential for home quarter finals and you know more to get into that top eight and then Europe to look forward to in terms of what we produced in December and January to put ourselves into that position.”
