EIGHT to ten weeks is the waiting time for the payment of Mobility Aid, Housing Aid for Older People and Housing Adaptation grants from Limerick City and County Council.
That was the response to a query from Sinn Féin councillor Sharon Benson at last Monday’s Metropolitan District Council meeting.
However, the Council’s Director of Services for Housing, Caroline Curley, said that they are seeing delays in relation to final payment as contractors are delayed with supplies and completing the works, which in turn delays Limerick City and County Council releasing the final payment.
