THE animated hit follows the story of a refugee, Amin Nawabi, fleeing Afghanistan. It will be screening at the Lime Tree Theatre Monday 28 March at 5pm and 8pm. Tickets cost €8.
‘Flee’ has been nominated for three Oscars, Best Animated Feature, Best Documentary Feature and Best International Film. ‘Flee’ has become the first film to nominated in all three categories simultaneously.
The Danish animated docudrama had its premiere at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival January 28, 2021 and received universal acclaim from critics. It received praise for its animation, story, themes and LGBT representation.

‘Flee’ has also been nominated for The European Audience Film Award, which was first introduced in 2020 and is presented every year by the European Parliament and the European Film Academy.
The movie is currently sitting on 98% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, and a 92% audience score.
