WITH more than 20 years experience in the hearing aid industry, Gerard Feeney, who is a fully qualified Hearing Aid Audiologist, a member of the Irish Society of Hearing Aid Audiologist and British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologist, enjoys providing a personal, relaxed service for his clients, and giving them the information they need to make informed decisions about their hearing.
“It’s all about people and trying to improve the quality of their life. It doesn’t matter what age a person is, it’s important to hear, if you can’t hear you can’t communicate, and the art of communication is what connects people to the world,” said Gerard.
Clients can avail of a free comprehensive audiological hearing test and consultation at the Dooradoyle Walk-in Medical Centre, and Kings Island Primary Care Centre, and Gerard also does house calls for clients who are not well enough to attend his clinics.
Other services Gerard provides are; hearing aids at competitive prices; mobile apps; tinnitus management; speech testing; tympanometry; real ear measurements; musicians’ ear plugs and ear protection; and ear wax removal, and all clients are guaranteed free aftercare for their hearing aids.
According to Gerard a hearing aid has to suit the clients’ hearing loss, their budget, it has to be something they are willing to wear, and they have to be able to manage it. Clients can also use their PRSI grants to purchase their hearing aids.
“Studies show that the earlier a person gets hearing aids the better, it’s important for brain health, improves confidence and their quality of life,” added Gerard.
