Isolde Fenton on the bill for Seen + Heard Festival

LIMERICK actor/playwright Isolde Fenton has been chosen to perform her work for the Scene + Heard Festival happening at the Smock Alley Theatre in Dublin.
The Scene + Heard Festival of New Work hosts bite-sized performances of live art, drama and comedy from across the country. 2022 is their biggest event yet with 109 new works on the programme.
The festival runs until February 29 at the newly restored playhouse, in Temple Bar promising to deliver, “the most playful, inventive, absurd, amusing and heart wrenching performances from Ireland’s established and rising stars.
One of those rising stars is Isolde Fenton from Adare, a past pupil of Laurel Hill Coláiste. Limerick Post learned that her love of drama was inspired by Spotlight Stage School here in Limerick and the Limerick Youth Theatre.
Isolde has also performed with the Irish and British National Youth Theatres. She is an English and Drama graduate of UCC and has recently completed a further two years at the Gaiety School of Acting.
Isolde wrote and performs in Chalk & Cheese at the festival. Directed by Rosa Thomas the 20 minute piece is described as a “visceral story about an un-special girl and her brother.”
“Cheese was born first But somehow
Chalk comes first Hardly FAIR!
Prick won’t even say a word…”

Chalk & Cheese plays at Boys School, Scene + Heard Festival of New Work, Smock Alley Theatre on Friday February 25 (6.15pm) and on Saturday February 26 (3pm) https://smockalley.com/scene-heard-festival-2022-week-3/
