LIMERICK City and County Council have advised people to limit their travel to necessary journeys from 3am to 11am tomorrow while an Orange weather warning is in place as Storm Eunice passes over the Mid West.
A statement issued by the council this afternoon said that as the warning would apply during a period of high tides, people in areas vulnerable to tidal flooding should take necessary measures as normal.
“Our Emergency Services and Maintenance Crews are on standby for emergencies or critical road issues. For the safety of our staff and the public, non-urgent responses will be addressed in daylight hours when storm conditions allow.
