Mayor Daniel Butler has welcomed the announcement by Stats Perform that it has established a Global Rugby Centre of Excellence in Limerick city which will see the company workforce reach 300 by the end of the year.
Describing the move as another fantastic endorsement for Limerick as a successful location for inward investment, Mayor Butler said it reaffirmed Limerick is a growth-location for companies.
“It also speaks volumes as to the city as a sport-tech cluster and, indeed, an emerging hub for companies in the AI and data space. And, of course, it recognises Limerick and the Mid-West region’s rich rugby heritage.
“Given that Stats Perform works with the likes of the British and Irish Lions, the Six Nations, the All-Blacks, Australia and France, this makes Limerick a sports tech hub for some of the biggest brands in world sport.
“We are delighted to be partnering with the best-known and most trusted data provider to the world’s leading sports leagues.”
The Football Association of Thailand has chosen Stats Perform as its exclusive data and integrity partner.

“The fact, too, that Stats Perform will have 300 employees by year end is very welcome news for Limerick. It is a hugely positive vote of confidence in Limerick at an exciting time for the city and region in terms of inward investment. I congratulate Grainne Barry and the team in Stats Perform on reaching this very important milestone.”
