The French Ambassador visits Shannon Region

THE French Ambassador to Ireland received a warm Shannon welcome as he met with representatives of Shannon Group last Friday afternoon.

H.E. Vincent Guérend, French Ambassador to Ireland was accompanied on his visit to Shannon Airport by Dr Loïc Guyon, honorary consul for France in Ireland’s Midwest region; Ms Michèle Nissen-Sageot, Deputy Head of the French Embassy’s economic department; Ms Áine O’Mahony, Deputy Sectorial Attaché (agriculture, transport, environment, digital); Ms Christine Deniel-Spicer (Chargée d’Affaires Export Industry & Cleantech for Business France, and Mr Cyril Perrin, Managing Director of Neoen Ireland.

Mr. Guérend, who was appointed French Ambassador to Ireland on 23 September 2020, received a tour of Shannon Airport, and a briefing from Shannon Group on the airport, its campus, and commercial properties activity.

Commenting on the visit, Shannon Group CEO, Mary Considine said: “We were delighted to have the opportunity to welcome his Excellency Ambassador Guérend and the delegation to Shannon.

“It gave us an opportunity to showcase the initiatives we have undertaken across our campus and explore areas for future collaboration.  We hope that this first visit by the Ambassador and his team will be the first of many.”
