WORK is under way in Moyross on the construction of 57 new homes at Dalgaish and Cosgrave Parks as part the Limerick Regeneration project.
A number of derelict houses are been demolished to make way for the new development which is in walking distance to the Watch House Cross Neighbourhood Centre, public transport and the local school and church.
Once the demolition and clearing operation is complete, the construction work itself is due to begin almost immediately.
The development will be a blend of one to four bedroom homes, which will see a broad mix of occupancy. It is expected that it will take 20 months for the homes to be delivered.
The contract also envisages upgrade works to the lower sections of Moyross Avenue.
It is the latest is a series of recent housing projects with contracts signed for 18 new homes in the third phase of development at Cliona Park and further projects due to commence shortly in Southill.
