GARDAÍ are looking for witnesses to a theft from the Church of the Sacred Heart in Oola between 12.30 and 1pm on Friday, December 7 when money was taken from the donation box in the church.
“The money box was smashed and emptied while three statues in the adjoining crib were also damaged. It appears that the statues fell over when the crib was lifted to get the money box,” said Crime Prevention Officer at Henry Street Garda Station, Sgt Ber Leetch.
“If you were in the area and saw something suspicious or were driving past the church and have a dash camera footage you should contact Oola Gardaí on 062 47641.
