10k in Memory of Limerick Man in aid of Milford Hospice

Running and exercise is proven to be good for your mental health
A GoFundMe campaign has been set up by Limerick woman Georgina Mulcahy in the hopes of raising much needed funds for Milford Care Centre. Milford Care Centre is a voluntary, not-for-profit organisation and registered charity.
It was first established by the Little Company of Mary Sisters in 1928 and now provides Specialist Palliative Care and Older Persons Services in the Mid West. Its Board of Directors and Management Team oversees its service delivery and fundraising activities.

Milford Care Centre is an organisation very close to Geogrgina’s heart as it was here that her father was cared for before he sadly passed away.
Georgina uses the GoFundMe page to write, “On 17th of February this year, we will be marking our dad, George Mulcahy’s 10th year anniversary. Dad passed away from pancreatic cancer and spent his final days in Milford Hospice.
“We want to celebrate his life and get some money raised for Milford as our way of saying thanks. The nurses and staff are angels and show so much respect and support to those in their care in their final days.”

Georgina is asking the local and wider community to join her in racking up 10 kilometres for Georgie Mulcahy between 14th – 19th of February. Georgina adds, “You can walk, run, cycle, swim whatever you like.
“We would ask to make any donation to our GoFundMe page where all proceeds will go to Milford Hospice Care Centre. Even if you don’t take part and would still like to donate, please do!”
