THE Munster squad began their preparations at the HPC on Monday ahead of Friday night’s Champions Cup clash away to Castres (8pm Irish time).
Peter O’Mahony trained with the squad having missed the weekend’s win over Ulster after reporting a leg strain in the warm-up.
Jean Kleyn also returned to training yesterday after recovering from a knee injury sustained against Connacht on New Year’s Day.
Damian de Allende picked up an abdominal injury last week and his availability for Friday night will be determined later this week.
Chris Cloete (neck), Jason Jenkins (abdomen), Joey Carbery (elbow), Calvin Nash (ankle), Rowan Osborne (head), and RG Snyman (knee) continue to be managed by the medical department and are not available.
Three Munster players lined out for their clubs in the Bank of Ireland Munster Senior Challenge Plate final on Saturday.
Loosehead prop Liam O’Connor and Academy back three player Jonathan Wren helped Cork Constitution to a 35-14 win over Shannon at Coonagh with tighthead prop Roman Salanoa featuring for the hosts.
