THE draws for the 2022 Munster pre season competitions were made last night.
Defending All-Ireland champions Limerick will kick off their 2022 campaign at the TUS Gaelic Grounds as they received a bye into the semi-finals of the Munster Hurling League.
John Kiely’s outfit will face the winners of Tipperary and Kerry with no confirmation of the time or date of the fixtures yet.
Limerick are the defending champions of the Munster Hurling League, beating Cork in the decider in 2020 with the competition cancelled earlier this year.
Billy Lee’s footballers are guaranteed two games as they travel to Kerry in their opener. They will then welcome Tipperary to the TUS Gaelic Grounds.
Two wins would guarantee progress back to the final where Limerick were crowned champions in 2020, also defeating Cork on the same night as the hurlers.
Fixtures for the McGrath cup are yet to be confirmed but will take place in early January.
