The Cecilian Musical Society presents The Best of Times

AFTER a two-year hiatus following the hugely successful Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in 2019, the Cecilian Musical Society are back with a brand new show ‘The Best of Times’ in the Lime Tree Theatre.

The Best of Times will reminisce on some of the best-loved musicals from past shows performed by the society brought to life by some of the finest performers the Cecilians have to offer.

With smash hits from the classics of Oklahoma!, Fiddler on the Roof, Hello Dolly, Carousel, and some modern shows like Shrek, The Wiz and All Shook Up, there’s definitely something for everyone in this wall to wall blockbuster concert.

The Cecilians are delighted to welcome back guest performers Nigel Dugdale, Jean Wallace, Sinéad Beary, Peter Kennedy, Eoghan Cantillon Mann and Adam Stapleton to reprise their iconic roles from West Side Story, My Fair Lady, Guys and Dolls and Oliver!

These guest performers are flanked by a 12 strong ensemble consisting of Cecilian stalwarts such as Brian Henry, Gráinne Hartnett, Kim Burke, Hilary Phayer, Anita Croke-Ryan, Michelle O’Brien, Barry Danaher, Jason Ronan, James Malone, Brian Curtin, and some young up and coming talent including Moya Henn and Jane Henry.

“Having assembled one of our strongest casts in recent times, musical director Michael Young and producer Des Henn has been putting the cast through their paces since September to ensure that we again reach the highest of standards. The talented production team are aiming high with this and promise to give audiences a special night of song.”

‘The Best of Times’ runs for one night only on November 27 in the Lime Tree Theatre with the earlier start time of 7.30pm.

Tickets are €22 and available from www.limetreetheatre.ie and on 061-953400.
