A PRIVATE healthcare company that provides care for people with a range of intellectual disabilities and mental illnesses is seeking to employ 50 people in Limerick.
The new jobs include up to ten nursing positions and some 40 care and support positions located in west and south Limerick.
The company, Nua Healthcare Services, is the largest private sector provider of intellectual disability and mental health services in Ireland.
According to a spokesperson, most of the new jobs “will suit and attract people from a range of sectors like retail, hospitality, construction or other healthcare areas who would like a change in career or potentially a shorter commute to work and especially those people with relevant life experiences”.
Nua Healthcare run an inhouse programme, Educate to Employ, which will provide additional training and education for new employees, especially those who have never worked in the healthcare sector before.
The organisation already employs more than 1,800 people across its operations nationally.
