IT’S the weekend once more, meaning it’s time for us to run you through the sports action this weekend, when it is on and where you can find it.
Saturday
In Soccer action, BBC1 has most of the English club games covered over the international break, with Football Focus on BBC1 at noon, previews all the league games, with the follow-up programme being the North-London Derby when Katie McCabe’s Arsenal Women travel to Spurs, from 1.30pm. With Match of the Day, at the later time of 10.25pm on BBC 1 reviewing Saturday’s action. While TG4 hosts the showing of Peamount Utd welcoming Galway WFC in Women’s National League action from 7.30pm.
For Horse Racing punters, TG4 broadcasts from Punchestown, including the Novice Chase, starting from 12.30pm.
GAA starts on RTE 2 from 6pm, with Kilmacud Crokes v Na Fianna in the Dublin Senior Hurling Final.
In Rugby, Amazon Prime streams some of the Autumn Internationals with Italy v Argentina, and Scotland v The SpringBok, both starting from 1pm. With England v Australia streamed later at 5.30pm. While closer to home, RTE 2 hosts the All-Blacks trip to the Aviva, with Ireland looking for another result against New Zealand from 3.15pm.
For Golf fans, Saturday starts early with Sky Sports Golf beginning from 6am, with UAE Women’s Asian Amateur Championship, followed at 8am with the Dubai Championship, followed at 6pm, with the Texas Houston Open, ending in Florida with the Pelican Women’s Championship as part of the LPGA Tour, from 9pm. With all three continuing on Sunday, at the same times.
In American sports action, the NBA starts up again with Sky Sports Mix hosting the Utah Derby with Salt Lake City Heat playing the Utah Jazz from 10pm.
And lastly, in UFC, BT Sport 2 showcases the action from Las Vegas as Max Holloway faces off against Yair Rodriguez, with the show starting from 9pm.
Sunday
For Sunday Soccer, on Sky Sports Premier League the Women’s Super League starts from 12.30pm with Everton v Man Utd. While at 3pm, the match-up between Man City v Chelsea kicks off. In the men’s game, on Virgin Media 2, the shootout qualifying game between Portugal v Serbia starts at 7.45pm. While elsewhere in the group, Stephen Kenny looks to enact revenge on European titans that is Luxembourg. Ireland’s final game also kicks off at 7.45pm. While on BBC1, Match of the Day 2 reviews the day’s action.
RTE 2 holds the following day of Horse Racing action from Punchestown, with the highlight expecting to be the Morgiana hurdle, with the action starting from 12.20pm.
2 GAA finals are on TG4, with the Tipperary Senior Hurling Final between Thurles Sarsfields and Loughmore-Castletroy beginning from 3.15pm. But before that the Galway Senior Football Final between Corofin and Mountbellew/Moylough starting at the earlier time of 1.30pm
In the Rugby, showings continues on Amazon Prime with the Autumn International games between France v Georgia starting from 1pm, followed by Wales v Fiji at 3.15pm.
In Cricket, the T20 final concludes on Sky Sports Cricket with the final starting from 2pm.
In F1, the title goes down to the wire, with the Sao Paulo Grand Prix, the latest test for Verstappen and Hamilton. With coverage starting on Sky Sports F1 from 3.30pm.
And lastly, in American sporting action, the NBA starts early on Sunday with Sky Sports Arena showing the game between the Cleveland Cavaliers hosting the Boston Celtics from 1am. While in the NFL, action starts on Sky Sports NFL from 6pm as the New Orleans saints play the Tennessee Titans. Followed by the Seattle Sewhawks hosting the Green Bay Packers from 9.25pm.
